Zuri's Work Tasks...

Zuri made this work list. She's "worked" with me this afternoon. πŸ˜‰ She just uses the first letter of each word for her tasks.

-Work On My Computer
-Take A Bathroom Break
-Take My Assignment
-Get A Little Snack From The Bending (vending) Machine
-Work On My Computer Again

She's marking them off so she doesn't get fired. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

That's her day in a nutshell.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day today!  It began with breakfast in bed. Zuri and Brent made me toast, scrambled eggs with extra cheese, and coffee. Zuri kept staring while I was eating and saying things like, "That looks really good." She was more than excited when I asked if she wanted a bite.  She ate half of it! πŸ˜‚

My gifts were amazing. Of course, I have my Apple Watch, but I also received some great handmade gifts from the kids. William painted a couple pictures and Zuri drew me pictures. Zuri also created a neat little blanket at school where she actually sewed the alphabet onto pieces and her teacher sewed the pieces together. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Zuri and I went to Rosita's for lunch and then we picked up Uncle Eric and went to the cemetery to visit my Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Larry, and Uncle Butch. Aunt Junie made some beautiful flower arrangements for them all. While we did that, Daddy and William visited Grandma & Grandpa Gill.

We hung out with Eric, Karen, and Trevor for a bit in the afternoon/evening too. 😊

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! πŸŒ·πŸ’❤️🌺🌹

Yummy.

Zuri agreed.

This was Zuri's gift wrapping. The butterfly opened up to a note, "Dear Mom, I love you. You give me kisses and hugs. Thank you. I love you mom. Love, Zuri."  ❤️❤️❤️

So neat!
My gifts. Love them all!

This was the best picture I could get with both kids. 😊

The whole family.

Why does William look so grown up and so big?!  Ugh!!
I posted this on Facebook. It was a Mother' Day "challenge" of sorts. Post a pic you you pregnant, your child as a newborn, and your child now. Zuri is along the top row and William is along the bottom row.
Me and Zuri at Rosita's for a quick (and delicious) lunch before picking up Uncle Eric.

Oh, Zuri....

We stopped on the old iron bridge. Zuri thought it was neat that you can see the water through the bridge, but was also a little scared/nervous/anxious about it.
When we got to Uncle Butch's grave, Zuri said, "Butchie, are you there?!"
Uncle Eric showed Zuri a grave with cement over the grave and told Zuri the person kept trying to get out. Zuri said something like this to Eric: "I don't trust anything you say."  Haha!!!

He also showed her this water pump. She was fascinated by it and loved showing me how it works (and, yes, it does still work!).
The whole gang (Uncle Gary, Zuri, Aunt Julie, Papaw John, Uncle Eric, Aunt Junie, and me).

Zuri sitting between her Great Grandma & Grandpa Woodall and Great Uncle Larry.
Uncle Butch. The hanging flowers were arranged by Aunt Junie.
Aunt Junie did a phenomenal job as usual on the flowers.
On the way back to Eric's, we stopped at the elementary school he went to (and so did Grandma Newbold, Aunts Tina, Lisa, and Julie).

Zuri and I went to Dairy Queen for a Mother's Day treat. Zuri enjoyed riding in Trevor's car.
William wanted to test it out. Haha!  Don't worry, he didn't go anywhere!
