Convo when Zuri and I got in the car after dinner:

Zuri: Why doesn't Bella have a stocking?

Me: What?

Zuri: Why doesn't Bella have a stocking?

Me: Oh, you mean a Christmas stocking?

Zuri: Yes. Cats should be allowed to have a good Christmas too. 

Where did that come from?! 😂😸🎄

Conversations With A 5 Year Old...

Somehow the conversation on the way home from Girl Scouts went from me being tired to what happens if a jury finds someone not guilty and they really are. I told Zuri how tired I was because of staying up late. She talked about Brent's jury duty and how he was there all night "figuring things out." Then she wanted to know what he had to figure out. I explained the process and, at one point, she said, "what do you mean by charged with assault?"  Ha!  Anyway, I kept explaining and then she asked, "So what happens if they say they didn't do it and they really did? What if they say they did do it and they really didn't?" Good questions, Zuri, good questions.  #princesszuri #5goingon30

Tooth Fairy Prank

Zuri wanted to try to trick the Tooth Fairy tonight by putting a grain of rice in a baggie under her pillow. She figured the Tooth Fairy would do 1 of 3 things: 1) leave her a funny note about the joke; 2) leave her money because she thinks it's a tooth; or 3) leave her money even though she knows it's a grain of rice. 🤔 Where does she come up such this stuff? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Tooth Fairy sent with option 1. 😂 #princesszuri #toothfairyprank

Tooth Fairy

Zuri lost another tooth yesterday. Before I went to class, I was teasing her about getting the money the Tooth Fairy leaves. She told me no way. Right before I left, I told her to ask the Tooth Faury to leave extra money for me. :o)

Zuri ended up writing the Tooth Fairy a note. She asked her to leave a dollar for mom and a dollar for dad. She also said, "I hope that you will give me 20 bucks."  Haha!

William's First Haircut!

We decided to get William's hair cut today. He did an awesome job!  He didn't cry or fuss at all. Zuri enjoyed tagging along. She took him down the slide and checked out the cool chairs. 

 

 

 

 

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Today is my birthday and Zuri surprised me this morning by changing William's diaper herself and getting him dressed.  😊  Such a great big sister!  I was spoiled at work with: 1) homemade cake balls from Marina, 2) my fave Starbucks drink and 3 cake pops from Marisol, 3) lunch with both Marisol and Marina, and 4) a wonderful Edible Arrangement assortment from Marisol!  After work, I had dinner with the family at my favorite Mexican restaurant, Rosita's.  I ended the night with a trip to the mall. Zuri insisted on taking me shopping. Guess who those gifts are for she's holding.... 😂. She also wanted a cake pop and what she thought was a cake (pineapple covered in chocolate). We lit the candle and sang Happy Birthday.....to her. 😜😊

Zuri: "Yay!  Now, can I ask you questions to answer?"

Me: "Sure."

Fun with Friends

A couple of Daddy's friends from high school came by New Year's Day to hang out with their families and ours.  The girls had a blast playing together and the adults had fun hanging out and talking.

The entire gang minus William because he was in bed.

I improvised.  :o)

Happy New Year!!

Zuri decided she wanted to throw a New Year's Eve party at home so we went to Target and got the supplies she needed.  We made cookies, had dinner, and then watched Barbie and had snacks.  We also painted nails.  Daddy was in on this too. :o)  We didn't make it to midnight, but that's okay.  We rang in the New Year in style........our style!
