End of Maternity Leave

Today was my last day of maternity leave.  I have been off for 14 weeks.  It's bittersweet - I am ready to get back to work and be productive in that way, but I'm going to miss hanging out with William, being able to get some projects done around the house, and not being on a real schedule.  I know after a few days or so, we will be in a good routine and things will be great. :o)

We have had a great last few days.

Friday, I got a pedicure and manicure. I don't usually stray from red or pink, but since I was returning to work, I decided to go with what I like to call "Endress Blue."  :o)
We had dinner with Julie and Tina. Zuri insisted on going back to Julie's with her and Tina.  Tina had Zuri try on her shoes and she was able to walk in them no problem. Ignore her outfit and the gloves. Ha!

We hung out and napped Saturday morning before Zuri's swim lesson.  I love that they fell asleep in Zuri's bed. :)
Daddy was playing around with William and his glasses. :o)
After swim lessons, Aunt Julie came over to watch the kids so Mommy and Daddy could have a date night down in Bloomington.
Eric, Karen, JoAnna, and Olivia came by while we were gone. Here's Zuri with Olivia.

Sunday morning, during breakfast, Zuri came in like this and said she was ready for Max's party. He's moving to Poland and we attended his "see you later" party. Zuri is going to miss Max.

William turned 3 months on Sunday. He's getting so big!!!

Sunday night, we saw our cousins from Alabama. Here's Zuri with Emersyn. Cuties!!

Today, we only had a cookout planned. We did end up going to Julie's to see our cousins (Nick, Nikki, Eli, and Emersyn) before they left.

William is ready to play baseball!

Eli and Zuri.
Eli loves William!!
Em does too!

Aunt Brandii came over to take William's 3 month pictures. Zuri decided to play photographer.  :o)

We had fun at the cookout.  Everyone got to hold William. Here's Madeline with him. So sweet!

While Mommy and Daddy were in Bloomington, we bought Zuri a Lil' Bubs shirt. It's big, but makes a nice nightgown.

The kids are in bed and time for me to head that way. Tomorrow will be a long day. Back to work and I have to immediately go to class after work.

Here are some sneak peeks from the photo shoot. ;o)

William is 3 Months!

I cannot believe it has been three months since William was born. It seems like yesterday I was going in for my c-section. I know time flies - it did/does with Zuri - but it's still unbelievable!

William is around 16 pounds, sleeps through the night, and is an all around great baby!  He has rolled over from him belly to back quite a few times already. He started daycare last week and the ladies are great with him. Zuri loves him more and more each day. We are very thankful for our kids!

Here are William's 3 month sticker pictures. :o)

First Day of Daycare and More!

Yesterday was William's first day at daycare. I was having a hard time so I decided Zuri and I would have a Mommy/Daughter day to keep my mind off things.
Zuri wanted to photobomb William and his daycare essentials.
William was all smiles when Zuri and I dropped him off. That helped me too!

After breakfast, Zuri and I went home and massaged each other's feet.
We then went shopping and got our hair cut!
We had lunch and then picked up some LuLaRoe leggings from Mandy. When we went to see Aunt Karen at work, Zuri insisted on putting the leggings on right then!
Some more shopping and then we went home. She zonked!!

Zuri and I had a great day and William did great at daycare. We (okay, I) survived!

William woke up early enough this morning for snuggles with Daddy. :o)

Zuri looked so grown up when we got to her school. Where did my baby go?

Tonight, we gave Brent his Father's Day gift. He is going next Wednesday after Zuri's Pre-K graduation for a spa day.  I hope he enjoys it!!

This and That

Saturday was jam packed. We stopped at a lemonade stand - all proceeds went to help a classmate of Brent's who has cancer. While there, we ran into Shelby, Reece, and Vance. Reece loves us.....really, he does!!

Next up, swim lesson at the YMCA. Such a diva!!

After swim lesson, we went to Nick's college graduation open house. Zuri swam until her lips turned blue. Here she is with Lili. She loves Lili and Sunny!  She ended up spending the night with them. :o)
William also enjoyed being outside!

Today after church, the kids stayed with Eric and Karen while I went to the store.  Aren't they adorable?!

William starts daycare tomorrow. Zuri and I will have a mommy/daughter day. That should help me get through his first day!

Weekend Recap

We had a mommy/daughter/son day Friday.  We hung out in the morning and then met my friend did lunch.
After lunch, we went home for a bit and then went down to Uncle Gary's to clean up for Tony's surprise 40th birthday party. Zuri relaxed on the hammock and wrote in her journal.

Saturday was Tony's surprise party. He was truly surprised! It was great!

Kyle finally held William and was thrilled. ;)
Aunt Julie and William.
Zuri had her first swim lesson Saturday so she and daddy made it to the party later.

William loves Scout. Here he was with Scout Sunday morning during breakfast.
Here's Daddy and Zuri at dinner.

Zuri and William Monday morning. Aren't they adorable?!
Zuri had a dentist appointment Monday morning. On the way in, she said, "I love the dentist."  She had a great checkup. No cavities and the dentist was surprised to see her with 2 adult teeth and her top 6 year molars coming in already. She's growing way too fast!
William was all smiles while we hung out before my surgery.
Zuri had a soccer play day at school Monday. She had fun!
My Monday afternoon consisted of surgery to remove kidney stones. I hate having IVs in my hand. It hurt!!  The surgery went well. I'm still cramping and in some pain, but doing well.

Zuri stayed with Julie because I knew I wouldn't feel like driving this morning.
Brent stayed home to take care of William for me. William and I snuggled while Daddy made his bottle. :)
After dinner tonight, Zuri came out of her room in this get up. She said she was a bridesmaid, not a bride. I told her either way, she is beautiful. :)

Goodnight!
