William Turns 2 Months!

I cannot believe our sweet little William is already 2 months old.  Why does time go by so fast?  William's 2 month checkup is on Wednesday so we will have his stats at that time.  I did try to estimate his weight and I would guess him to be about 13 pounds!!  He's our chunky monkey.  :o)  Zuri has done so well with him!  She really loves him.....even when he is crying....I think.  HA!

There are two things I have realized with having my second child.

First, I do love him just as much as Zuri.  I wondered before we ever got pregnant how I could love another child as much as I love Zuri.  I even wondered during my pregnancy.  As soon as William was born, all the worries about not loving him as much were out the door.  It's as though my heart doubled in size that moment.

Second, I am very lax in several things that I wasn't with Zuri.  I still don't have hand sanitizer in the diaper bag and with Zuri, I had people douse themselves in sanitizer.  I let Zuri hold William by herself and I would have never let a 5 year old hold Zuri without assistance!  I let William have an overnight stay before he was 2 months old and Zuri was 2 before her first overnight stay.  There's more, but you get the gist.  ;o)

We are so in love with William and can't wait to see him grow and learn just like we did (and continue to do) with Zuri.

Here are some photos from William's monthly photo shoot!

For fun, here's a comparison of Zuri and William.  :o)

Sleepovers and Surgery

I had surgery today so the kids spent the night at other places last night.  This was William's first sleepover - he is 8 weeks old!

William spent the night with Aunt Amanda, Uncle Jon, Jack, and Claire. Aunt Amanda watched him today. :o)

They're ready!!

Aunt Amanda sent me this picture before I went back to the operating room this morning. William was all smiles for her!

Zuri spent the night with the Johnsons (Chris, Nikki, Hayden, and Halle).  Nikki watched Zuri today and she played with Halle.

The girls were excited for the sleepover!

Anyone who knows Brent knows how overprotective he is. Chris sent us this picture and said he put the girls to work and no one had cut a finger off yet. Haha!  Don't worry, they didn't turn the tools on at all and Chris was right there!

The kids had fun today and I am grateful for everyone's help last night and today. While the kids played (or snuggled in William's case), I was doing this -- Brent took this when he was allowed back in recovery.

When I got home, I slept some more. Brent picked the kids up around 4. We all snuggled in bed for a bit before dinner.  I was happy to see them both!  Zuri was happy too, don't mind the look on her face. She was watching Jesse. ;o)

Zuri's Dance Recital

Today was Zuri's recital. We started the day with snuggles. :o)

Andy, Anne, Bri, and Zayne came over so Anne could do Zuri's hair for the recital. I wanted a picture of Zayne holding William. Andy didn't want to, but I insisted. Zayne did a great job!

Anne did a great job on Zuri's hair!

Bri went with us to the recital and she got to go backstage. These two are so cute. :o)

Zuri's teacher, Ms. Cassie, was there too. Her daughter was in the recital.
Zuri checking herself out in the mirror.
Zuri and her friends from dance. These are the Tiny Tappers. They did an awesome job tonight!
Zuri and Rafael Sanchez after the recital.
Mommy and Zuri. :o)
Flower overload!
Zuri with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz.
Uncle Randy and Aunt Tammy made it!

After the recital, we had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz.  I tried getting a picture and Zuri was being her usual silly self. Grandma got in on the fun too. Ha!

We got all her flowers in vases.  She's one spoiled girl!

I wasn't able to get pictures of Zuri with: Grandma Newbold, Aunt Brandii, Steve, Papaw John, Andrea, Mason, and Gannon.  Thank you all for coming.

Manic Monday

William was all smiles this morning while we were waking Zuri up. She wasn't so thrilled. Ha!

After a few minutes, and after getting dressed, Zuri was all smiles too!  William wasn't sure what to think.

I guess William didn't want me feeding him at lunch so he decided to hold his own bottle. That didn't last too long. He must have decided it was too much work. ;o)

After William ate, we met my co-workers out for lunch.  Here he is with Marina. :o)

Nap time after lunch.

Tonight was Zuri's rehearsal at Center Grove High School. She is a ham!

We stopped at Chris' and Nicole's before the rehearsal to return Hayden's iPad. Zuri and Halle wanted to say hi which turned into going inside to play and be super silly!
Hayden must think the girls are crazy!
He is right!!  :o)

When we arrived at the school, we saw Aunt Amanda and Claire. So cute!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Tonight was Zuri's first dance!  This was a Daddy/Daughter dance at Indian Creek to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Zuri was so excited for this dance. We bought a new dress and new shoes for the occasion.

William wanted a picture with his big sister all dolled up. :o) He agreed with me that she looks beautiful!
Brent bought Zuri a corsage for the dance. Steve's Flowers did an amazing job!
Zuri is all about posing lately.
I love this one!
Zuri with her handsome date.

While they went to the dance, William and I went to Tony's for a cookout. Here's Bree with William. So cute!

When William and I got home, we sent a text to Daddy and Zuri to say goodnight. They sent this back. :o)

When they got home, Zuri was still awake which surprised me. She's usually in bed at 8:30 and she didn't get home until 9:30. They both had a good time!  Zuri even made some friends.

They had professional pictures taken. Once those are ready, I'll post them. I can't wait to see them!!
